Candy Dulfer at Kura Hulanda Village

The festival opens on Wednesday August 28 with a free concert by Candy Dulfer at Kura Hulanda Village.

Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer earned international fame for her collaborations with Prince, Van Morrison and Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, among others. With the latter, she scored a global hit with the song Lily Was Here. Her debut album Saxuality was nominated for a Grammy Award and several of her singles reached number 1 in the United States. She has been touring the world with her band almost continually for over 30 years. In 2022, she released her latest album, We Never Stop. In addition to her expansive solo successes, Dulfer is also part of the Dutch all-star group Ladies of Soul, together with singers Edsilia Rombley, Berget Lewis and Trijntje Oosterhuis.
