Ryan Castro demonstrated his musical abilities from a young age, especially in rap, freestyle, and dancehall. He started his professional career in 2017, promoting his music in YouTube and Soundcloud. After
Monastery, a duet with fellow Colombian artist Feid, he scored solo hits with songs such as
Mujeriego and
Jordan, with the latter hitting over 400 million views on YouTube. Because of his successes Castro firmly put himself on the map as one of the
nuevo generación (new generation) of musicians emerging from Latin America, regularly collaborating with popular colleagues, among which J Balvin and Karol G. Just after releasing his debut album,
El Cantante Del Ghetto, in 2024, he embarked on a very special collaboration: the song
