Born and raised in East Harlem, New York, pianist and producer Sergio George was influenced by a wide variety of music ranging from New York street funk to the early salsa sounds. He was one of the visionaries behind the legendary latin label RMM Records and worked with many well-known latin names, among which Tito Puente, Celia Cruz and Victor Manuelle. Though a big player in salsa, George has been active in other genres as well. For Curacao North Sea Jazz, he constructed an All Star Band, for which famed salsa musicians such as Andy Montañez, Charlie Za, Cheo Feliciano, José Alberto ‘El Canario’, Luis Enrique, Marc Anthony, Nora de La Luz, Oscar D'León, Tito Nieves and Willy Chirino will join him on stage.
