Disco sensation Earth, Wind & Fire earned their fame thanks to their big hits in the seventies and early eighties. With gigantic hits like September, Boogie Wonderland and Let's Groove, the members of EWF earned world fame. They performed and partied all over the world as the first Afro-American band in the world without an opening act.
Since the founding of EWF in 1975, they made twenty studio albums and had numerous huge hits. Even after the most successful period in the 70s/80s, in which the formation won six Grammys and four American Music Awards, the formula still proved to be successful. In 2003, 2004 and 2005, the creations of EWF were nominated again, for a Grammy. Even after four decades their performances are still very popular amongst the general public.
