Fundashon Bon Intenshon
The Curaçao North Sea Jazz festival and the Curaçao International Film Festival Rotterdam (Curaçao IFFR) are two unique projects that have been made possible by Fundashon Bon Intenshon. The foundation Fundashon Bon Intenshon was established in Curaçao in 1990. Fundashon Bon Intenshon wishes to prominently bring Curaçao to the attention of the (inter)national community in a special manner. Since its formation, the Fundashon has, as part of its social commitment, supported various projects in the field of education, culture, sports, poverty reduction, (health)care and tourism. The emphasis of support lies mainly in the area of creating better opportunities for young people in disadvantaged situations. A good example of this is the Curaçao Soccer Academy, that has been especially set up for the youth. Young talents receive soccer practice on an almost daily basis and are, in addition, coached on a personal level as well as with their homework. A unique project in the entire region. In addition to these projects, investments have been made in advertising campaigns to also bring positive news about talented Antilleans within the Kingdom to the spotlight.
The Curaçao North Sea Jazz festival, organized by the Fundashon as only sponsor and in cooperation with Mojo Concerts, ties in perfectly with the objectives of the Fundashon. The international level of the festival attracts ten thousands of visitors to the island annually. The visitors do not only come to enjoy the festival but also to experience the friendly hospitality of Curaçao. Thus the island of Curaçao is, in all its aspects, brought to the attention of international music lovers in a special manner.
