Trijntje Oosterhuis pre festival concert

7-7-2011 10:15

Prior to the Curacao North Sea Jazz festival various concerts are organised at Curacao. Trijntje Oosterhuis will perform on Tuesday, August 30 at the Avila Hotel.

Trijntje Oosterhuis has been one of the Netherlands’ premier vocalists for many years. After fronting the successful pop group Total Touch, she has sung with the likes of Queen, Andrea Bocelli, Burt Bacharach, Solomon Burke, Jean ‘Toots’ Thielemans, Marco Borsato and Lionel Richie. The past year has been highly successful for Trijntje. Within a very short period, she has released three albums that have all reached at least gold status. During this concert, she and her outstanding band will go on a musical journey throughout her entire career, showcasing all her biggest hits. This includes Total Touch songs, her Burt Bacharach pieces, hits in Dutch, but also tracks from her latest album ‘Sundays in New York’. An extraordinary combination of jazz, soul, funk and pop!

The evening starts with a performance of Gino Coelho together with trumpeter Igort Rivas (formerly Buena Vista Social Club) who will create an impressive atmosphere. This will be extra special with the intimate, warm feeling of the idyllic Octagon Square of the Avila Hotel which will create a wonderful combination.

Pre Sale Ticket price a Nafl. 50,- (excl. Taxes & non-seating.) Tickets available July 15th at Albert Heijn Curaçao, Bruna Curaçao & het Avila Hotel.
